It's Lucrezia Navarre, representative of the catholics in the "United Christian Churches of Terra".
With her friends Magnus Laudate (representative of the protestants) and Christow Korschanski (representative of the orthodox christs) she fights against a corrupt but wealthy company, which tries to take over Terra via their intrigues.
When the time for confrontation comes, all three of them will have to make a horrible decision:
To stand by and watch terra become a fascist empire... or abandon their christian principles and lead the people of terra to a revolution which will result in a full-scale war on Terra, its colonies and even the dark void between the stars.
